Thalassa Installation // Swoon @ New Orleans Museum of Art

The latest installation from NYC street artist Swoon (aka Caledonia Curry) at the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA).

The piece, suspended over NOMA’s Great Hall, features an ocean goddess named Thalassa, made of wood, paper and layered tentacles made from different materials stretching to the mezzanine.

Inspired by her reaction to the Deepwater Horizon oil disaster, the piece will be on display until September 25th.
