Everyday people enjoy sunrises and sunsets. They feel carefree seeing the arrival of the sun with its pristine light dawning on us and allowing us to carry about our days. Not only do they enjoy watching the movements of the sun they enjoy drawing this spectacle, and also they strive to paint and end up making pieces of art with their efforts.
There’s a famous saying that seems to fit in here, “Art is your emotions flowing in a river of imagination.” If you stand in front of any work of art, you will realize that many features of it cannot be described in simple words. Not many people nowadays appreciate the essence and importance of art. Art is everywhere is the expanse of the universe; anything can be interpreted as art. If you want to see things from an artists perspective start looking at things that you use in daily life in a different way, appreciate the beauty of your clothes, start paying attention to your hair, notice the design of your house, go to museums, etc.
Visual art is the most popular form of art. It is appreciated and sought after by millions around the world. The wealthiest people invest their money and become art collectors. They search far and wide for pieces of art that fit their taste and desire, and they end up displaying it in their homes or in art galleries. They usually tend to keep the ones they fall in love with, forever as trophies, but the other ones are sold to other art fanatics when the price is inflated. The wealthiest can invest in such paintings because they were painted by one of the most talented people in history. These legendary artists weren’t messing around with now popular 3D pens, they worked with the basics… a pencil and/or paintbrush. Here is a list of those great personalities and their contributions to the world of art:
Leonardo Da Vinci, born in 1452 made significant contributions to the world of art. Almost every single soul on planet earth knows who he is and have studied his accomplishments. He painted during the Renaissance, he was an accomplished and successful scientist and a lot more. His most significant contributions have been the Mona Lisa and the Last Supper. He died in the year 1519 at the age of 67.
Vincent van Gogh was born in the year 1853. He was a Dutch post-impressionist painter. His notable contributions have been The Starry Night, Sunflowers and Café Terrace at Night. His paintings and other works of art sell for millions of dollars; I find this ridiculous because he cut off his ear because of his temper and later died broke in the year 1890 even though his paintings are works of art which are immortal.
Michelangelo was a notable renaissance sculptor, painter, and architect who was born in 1475. His prominent and distinguished paintings include the epic ceiling murals in the Sistine Chapel. He died in the year 1564.
Pablo Picasso was a Spanish ‘cubist’ painter who was born in 1881. His famous works include Guernica and Bird of Peace. He died in 1973 at the age of 92.
Raphael was a painter with Italian origin and was born in 1483. Raphael, Michelangelo, and Leonardo Da Vinci make up the high renaissance trinity. His famous paintings include Mond Crucifixion and The Wedding of the Virgin.
